when getting back into sewing and out of my own head, it helps to have a specific project for a specific person in mind… this is a present for a gorgeous and brilliant young girl in Chicago who I’ve never met, but feel like I know… it’s an odd “child of a friend of a friend” scenario… her mom is a photographer with a wicked sense of humor, and her dad is one of my favorite musicians…
discussion and sharing of my interest in handmade cloth or rag dolls (mine or others, tutorials and such), vintage photos, various ephemera, tatty knick knacks. maybe, perhaps, a mention of my assortment of vintage dresses and other clothing items of which I am obsessed? photos of my doggies? (they are darling, you know) what ever shiny thing catches my eye on any particular day.
